Disaster from the start!!

A total nightmare!!! I thought I was talking directly to IHG. Sadly not the case but agent makes it sound like it. When I called the Hotel to check on the reservation they couldn’t find it. I called the number back explained the situation I didn’t know it was 3rd party cancellation policy etc.I never received any email like I was told I would. I wanted to cancel and get refund. Rude agent said the agent I spoke to would have told me. Well I didn’t hear that! There was a language barrier from the beginning very hard to understand him. He booked the wrong Hotel in the first place then changed it and the prices. He talked so fast at the end I couldn’t understand a word! Pretty sure they are trained to do this so people don’t have a clue. I always book directly through the Hotel (which I thought I was) and never had any issues not even in Vegas!!On top of the whole disaster charged more than through the Hotel directly! They could have been nice and given me a refund especially since I called back in less than a half hour. But nope just deal with rude agents. Don’t ever ever book through this awful company!! Our lawyer neighbor friend is out of town till Friday morning I’m going to have him look into this and see if we can do anything. Just beware don’t book through here!!So claim they want to help? NOT!! Can’t even email support it says no match! Just give me a refund and be done.
