Misleading Experience & Dismissive Service (W Fort Lauderdale)
I would not recommend purchasing a ResortPass at this property.
I paid ~$200 for a daybed that explicitly included a wristband for access and a dedicated server. Neither were provided.
Upon arrival, I was not greeted or acknowledged despite multiple staff members at the desk. After waiting, I was checked in with minimal direction and no wristband. I was pointed to a daybed placed directly in the sun. When I asked for an umbrella due to the heat, I was repeatedly told to “wait,” but no one ever followed up.
A staff member eventually came to set up towels, but the umbrella request was still ignored. No server ever came by, despite that being a listed amenity.
The overall experience made it clear that day pass guests are treated as an afterthought compared to hotel guests. The manager, Austin, was present during my arrival and witnessed the lack of service. While he did issue a refund without hesitation, that only reinforces that this level of treatment is known and tolerated.
No one pays $200 to feel like a second-class guest.
I left after about 20 minutes. With proper service, I would have considered staying at this hotel in the future—but this experience had the opposite effect
