Despite being advertised as Retro Stage uk , it is infact NOT in the uk . Orders are shipped from china . Desperate to get my autistic daughter a swimsuit before her first ever holiday , I ordered a pink swimsuit, it was too big . So as not to have her miss out , I ordered two blue ones , each to a different address to guarantee at least one of the blue ones got to her in time . However I’d made a mistake and emailed IN TIME , before shipping . The mistaken order still got sent out . So one blue one not wanted , one perfect and in her suitcase. Now , back to the pink one ,there is NO return within the uk , they have to be sent to America , the shipping fee was extremely expensive. Though I was given 3 options , none were worth it as you come up short , pay out more or keep the not fit for purpose goods . As a single parent , these kinds of things are extremely stressful and upsetting . £30 plus two shipping charges may not be a lot to some people, but for me it’s a chunk out of my food money . Being an alternative style , my daughter loved retro stage , but for the simple fact it’s NOT uk based and the returns system is a NIGHTMARE, we’ll pass . Gorgeous clothes if you like them , but if you don’t , well …you have been warned
