I purchased my large check-in bag over the holidays. I received it - seemed good quality despite an already present small dent which I chose to ignore.
I put the bag to work immediately. I’m now 3 round trips in, 9 legs total.
The bag is still fully functional but the damage outside is obvious and concerning (I’m not talking about scratches, these are shape changing dents). Majority of the 8 corners are dented in; and two of the edges have been bent in by half an inch or so. But the bag remains fully functional, wheels are in great shape and so are the locks.
Still, having been checked only 3 roundtrips, I was hoping for a sturdier aluminium structure that would withstand the unkind handling of US airlines. I paid the price expecting this bag to last hundreds of trips, so I’m concerned this won’t be the case.
