Stay Away from River Motorhomes!

River Motorhomes sold us a second hand Autotrail back in January 2023. The vehicle was not ready for collection even after a month of paying a deposit. Even when we paid in full the vehicle was still not ready and was told to take it away and snag it. Numerous faults and issues were noted, included damage that wasn’t there when we viewed it. The vehicle has been back to River Motorhomes on numerous occasions after breaking down on every trip we took in the first year. Thankfully, we had own recovery insurance in place. Since then the vehicle has still continued to have faults which has resulted in us paying out a lot of money in excess of £1,000 to get to the bottom of the electrical fault alone. Even now, it is still not at the standard it was promised and we have been left with a damaged leaking roof which was caused by them and only a strip of tape has been used to repair the entire length of the roof. They would not refund or replace and continue to not reply to any correspondence. Very poor customer service, untrustworthy and incompetent service teams and dishonest management.
