I stayed at Rixos Abu Dhabi when it first opened 7 years ago, and it was truly exceptional back then, definitely a 5-star experience. Recently, we returned on November 17th to celebrate my 60th birthday with my wife and six family members, booking four rooms for a total of £17,000. We arrived around 10:30 AM, but to our surprise, no rooms were ready, which was unusual for this region. I've been visiting Dubai annually for the past 20 years and have never encountered this issue. By 3 PM, only one room was prepared, and the others missed the check-in time, requiring us to ask multiple times. The suited staff were quite unhelpful and impolite, a stark contrast to my previous visit. I could elaborate further, but I want to highlight that the bar staff, cleaners, pool bar employees, and any staff not in suits were excellent, while the food was just average.
