Reliability issues from day one! Halo view 3 mirror cam, unit constantly records short clips no matter how the knock sensor was set! Touching the screen to try and get the unit to work only set off another ‘emergency recording’ the main issue is that that the mirror being an lcd screen is constantly back lit meaning that in daylight its usable but at night all you see is a grey glowing screen with no rear view! Their answer is to switch off the screen via the button to speed up the screen time out or adjust the screen time out … pressing the button does nothing but eventually switches off the unit! The screen timing has the same effect powering down the units removes the glow and the mirror is now usable! But hey that’s great if you want to see the traffic behind you at night but now means you have no dash cam! Although they have pictures and video of these issues and did take the unit back to ‘fix it’🤣 the returned unit does exactly the same thing but now has an intermittent card reading issue! So back it goes! The tech/custumer support is…. Well 3rd world comes to mind! They read off a card/ manual which is pointless they don’t listen to your complaint, talk over you trying in an attempt to fix it or believe that there isn’t one despite the visual aids you give them! Last dash cam of a similar design lasted 6 years before it failed due to dead battery this one 6 months and it’s been a pos that I should of returned to the shop but hey ho we learn from our mistakes, costly in this case!
