I purchased a bird feeder which arrived in its retail box without outer packaging of any kind and had the transit label stuck directly onto the box of the item. Purchased as a gift I would have preferred the item to have been dispatched with some other outer packaging to prevent this from happening. When raised with Customer Service they initially took 5 days to reply and were then quick to refer me to T&C (which cite environmental priorities for this). I found this unhelpful and decided not to return the item, which I'm sure will be fine. Just beware if you intend to offer your purchase as a gift, as it may well have the transit sticker slapped on the box.
