I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to have my deposit returned by Robertson Homes for over six months. Do not, under any circumstances, reserve a house with them. Your deposit will be held by them in breach of the contract both parties agreed to.I have contacted them repeatedly and have not once even had my phonecall returned or an email update from them. I am now leaving reviews anywhere I can to warn others. I wish I had not reserved a home with them. My circumstances changed, and my deposit should have been returned in line with the contract.

The company that’s now Robertson Homes was founded in Elgin in 1966. Like most families, the business has grown steadily and gradually over the years.
Bill Robertson was just 21 when he set up his joinery business, but within three years he’d built and sold his first house. In 1975 the business took on its first design-and-build contract, and the following year Robertson of Elgin became a limited company.
Since then the Robertson family has acquired new members, buying up small specialist companies and launching new divisions in facilities management and civil engineering. We gradually expanded our territory throughout Scotland, and in 1999 we completed our first project in England. By our 50th year in 2016, we were providing work for over 3000 people.See more
