I paid for a virtual appointment specifically because I have telephonophobia, a recognized anxiety disorder that makes phone calls impossible. Nowhere on Rocket Doctor's website does it state that a phone call is required before receiving care. I was only told this after I had already paid.
When I raised the issue, I waited several hours for an initial response. I followed the instructions to reset my password, but never received the e-mail. After following up, I waited another twelve hours to hear back again. The resolution offered was a refund taking three to five business days and a "we'll note it." No accommodation was made, no alternative was offered.
If you have any disability that affects your ability to use a phone, be aware that this service may not actually be accessible to you despite presenting itself as virtual care. The phone requirement is not disclosed anywhere before you pay.
