Appointment went fine and started only 20-minutes later than scheduled. All I needed was a requisition for an x-ray, which was provided by email after the appointment.
I could not open the password protected PDF requisition using the password provided so I emailed customer service/support and the PDF was sent a second time, with different instructions for the password (both passwords were versions of birthdate). Repeated attempts to open the second PDF with various versions of the password failed on both phone and laptop.
I’ve now sent 2 or 3 more emails over last 24 hours asking for this issue to be resolved, with no follow-up for more than 24 hours.
So, about 36-hours after my appointment, I’m no closer to getting an x-ray than before I started. Extremely frustrating on the customer service front to have to play protracted email tag wondering when or if I’ll ever hear from anyone. At this point, the experience has been a waste of my time (and a waste of MSP $) and I’m thinking I’ll have to make an appointment elsewhere.
4 hours after receiving the below response to my review I have heard nothing from Rocket Doctor despite my extremely solvable (at their end) problem opening a requisition.
12 hours later and still no follow-up on the empty platitudes and promises made in response to my negative review.
The doctor that helped me was helpful and concerned. Order the appropriate tests. It was quick to see a doctor when I couldn't get into my family doctor. I will definitely use the service again.
Rocket doctor makes prescription refills easy, convenient and smart. It's the opposite of normal as I'm in a hurry but the doctors are not rushed and always on time or early for their call. I really appreciate this service and tell as many people as I can here in Alberta, specifically because it's covered by Alberta Health Care and it's such a valuable convenience service with a small learning curve. Every time I use this service, it feels like a total waste of time. I can't imagine any health issues being effectively addressed through this. Even minor issues seem to require a surgeon's visit. It seems like just a quick money grab for doctors who do very little.
The doctor chose to chat because the audio and video weren't functioning. The chat transcript was never sent to my email. This service feels like a scam, and I worry they may be mishandling personal information. I advise steering clear of them.
1. They confirmed my appointment for a specific time, but no one showed up and I received no explanation. When I called the next day, they claimed the doctor had canceled after hours and couldn't notify me. 2. They canceled because I was in Quebec and needed an Ontario address. 3. I questioned how that was an issue, as we live near the border and can visit Ontario doctors without problems. The representative said they would process a refund and abruptly hung up, being quite rude. 4. When I booked, I provided my Quebec address, which was accepted, and they confirmed the appointment.
