Last month I paid extra on my loan and checked the box to have the extra applied to principal. This month when I went to pay the amount due was not what I expected. On further inspection I realized the extra was never applied correctly.
I tired to do the chat but the AI bot couldn't apply the funds. Carved out time to chat during the middle of a work day when they are open and "Cherell" was very short with me and incredibly unhelpful even thought I politely asked for help and told her I knew it wasn't her fault I just needed someone to help me. She said she submitted a request to have it applied but it can take 7 business days. By then my payment would be past due. She said they will "probably" adjust the interest but she couldn't tell me what the corrected balance on my loan would be. She also said I would probably have to call and manually apply it every month which is not something I can do in the middle of a work day regularly.
