Unable to access my new ticket account since being transferred for Mr. Cooper. Really horrible trying to get a hold of someone for help. Wish I had another mortgage company so far. Hopefully they get better.
They purchased Mr. Cooper, blocked access to that app and told me to migrate to theirs. Logged in with same credentials, was told I do not have a loan with them. Called... expected wait time is 7 HOURS!
They bought my lender Mr. Cooper. 1st month no problem. 2nd month no bill so I go online and not only did they make me paperless. They put me down for auto-debit without my permission ! I always pay extra. I can believe that is even legal ! It sure isn't moral.

If I could give this company -5 stars that would be overrated. Please for your sanity do not use these people for a mortgage. My mortgage was transferred to this company and they have been a NIGHTMARE to deal with. They still have not paid my town taxes out of escrow after calling many many times and being assured it was sent. Stay far away from this company, they could care less about customer service or satisfaction
Closing took extremely long even though they had all the necessary documents. Then, the checks issued by Rocket payable to creditors were NEVER MAILED BY ROCKET to me for my endorsement and they blamed the weather for not mailing for the delay. This whole process resulted in my credit being ruined as the creditors were not paid for 2 mos waiting for checks to be MAILED. Has this company never heard of ACH payments? Wait, they have because they certainly use it to instantly take your mortgage payment from your checking account. What a circus. Never again.
In January and February 2026, I reached out to fulfill the promise that was made to me when my loan was originated in April 2025 to get my business. I signed because it was my understanding and celebrate managing promises were recorded and confirmed that I could refinance anytime to get a lower rate with rocket without any fees whatsoever. “Zero fees.”
The loan closed on April 1 of 2025. For two months prior to that I worked with Tim Purington to get the loan to close and be financed for my condo here in Florida.
Tim made the promise multiple times that I could refinance the loan anytime in the upcoming 18 months if the interest rates were lower.
In January 2026, I called to start that process. When I was told they wouldn’t honor that promise I asked if I could speak to somebody in customer service. I spoke to Alyssa Guerin. Although she was pleasant to speak with, she could not help me and sent me to yet another “banker”. Before doing so she confirmed that she had heard the recording in question and indeed I was promised on multiple occasions during multiple conversations, and no uncertain terms that I could move my current loan to a lower rate without any fees whatsoever.
Tim Purington was no longer with Rocket so I was referred to David Muniz. When David mentioned he could not help me, I was referred to Jake Sherer.
I spoke recently to several other people who are interested in getting a home loan through Rocket Mortgage. They too are also currently being told that they will be able to lower their interest rate anytime over the next 18 months when/if the rates come down with “no fees whatsoever”.
So the lying continues.
Rocket Mortgage well obviously do anything and say anything in order to get the loan to go through.
In our case, we had and still have excellent credit, we put down 25% and it was only a small loan at $125,000. It is a second home in North Fort Myers Florida.
I was told that I have to pay two points to refinance because it is a second home. This is odd simply because when the loan was originated in April 2025, I did not pay any points. Zero points!
It is truly unfortunately, that they lied get our business and now they won’t honor what was said, even though it was confirmed verbatim.
Since moving to Michigan in 2006 I have financed or refinanced many times with Rocket Mortgage. I will never do it again and I suggest that you also do not. It is truly unfortunate. They have gone so far downhill.
Although I don’t believe their practices are illegal, I believe that somebody should look into the false information they pass along to get new loans.
Do not use Rocket Mortgage!
I do not recommend Rocket Mortgage unless you like to be inconvenienced to fix their mistakes.
I noticed they paid my homeowners insurance in Jan when it should not be paid until June. My insurance is changing in June because I live in Florida so my current carrier moving me to a different carrier in June . So they paid the wrong carrier and I'm sure the amount will increase at renewal in June. Now I have to fix this mess while working and going to school. This is not the first time they have messed up with escrow/insurance.
Doing business with Rocket Mortgage has been the most pleasurable home buying experience I have ever had. They were knowledgeable, professional, courteous and guided me thru every step of the process. I strongly recommend them to any potential home buyer.
I obtained a loan with this service, and at first, they were responsive, calling daily. However, the representative handling my mortgage frequently contradicted himself. Initially, he claimed they would cover 1% of my rate for a year, but then he changed his story. During closing, I was charged for that 1% they supposedly bought. Their communication was inconsistent, making them untrustworthy. My real estate agent has been trying to reach him daily, but there’s been no response.
I strongly advise against trusting or engaging with this service. The representative is nothing but deceitful and untrustworthy. Their tactics are highly unprofessional, using manipulative sales techniques to attract customers, only to mislead them and attempt a bait-and-switch. I received an unexpected message claiming they could lower my rates with no costs, appraisals, or credit checks. I should have been more cautious. They offered me an attractive interest rate and assured me of a soft credit check that wouldn’t affect my score. Shortly after, my phone was bombarded with notifications because this unprofessional individual conducted a hard inquiry on my credit with all bureaus! I've been diligently working on my credit, waiting for old inquiries to drop, and now I have to deal with another hard inquiry for the next two years, thanks to this deceitful salesperson. Being misled about the credit check is one issue, but now they can't offer the rate or terms they initially promised! Trust me, you should steer clear of this company. If this service continues to employ such individuals, avoiding them is essential.
