Stay clear from Rocket Mortgage! They are thieves. We made a large payment towards the principal, after calls and verification for it to go directly to the principal. Instead of applying the whole down payment towards the principal, Rocket Mortgage only applied 80% towards principal and took the other 20% which was in the tens of thousands, and applied it towards payments. We have called FOUR times and each time they confirmed that this 20% would be PUT TOWARDS the principal immediately. We would wait a few days as instructed and see no change. They say that we can request a MANAGER Call-Back. However, a manager NEVER CALLS back. In short, they stole our money and by applying it incorrectly, they are benefiting themselves each day. I would never recommend for anyone to use rocket mortgage as I do not find them trustworthy, honest or reliable. I will continue to spend my time and money to get this corrected but wanted to let other people know so that they do not end up in our position. Good Day!
