Review Time
My favourite Woke Lefty Paradise in the entire gaming world. And one of the only spaces where I can feel truly safe as a gamer who's also a leftist woman, which should be absurd to say in 2026, yet here we f*kin are. They're wonderful as journalists. I'm often curious what specifically RPS has to say about various games and events. Their articles are well-researched, and their insights are original and thought-provoking (Edwin, seriously, I want to write like you when I grow up).Never change, RPS. Your presence in our industry is more important than can be put to words. Thank you for all the hard work you do ❤️
I am deeply amused by how many of the negative reviewers here say they followed RPS for years before it "got political" or "woke" around JKRowlingGate, which I can only interpret as them COMPLETELY failing to notice decades of preceding RPS content, like the article from its founder in 2013 titled "Misogyny, Sexism, And Why RPS Isn't Shutting Up - A Mission Statement"
In my 16th year of frequenting RPS I still find it THE best Games Journalism infinite-scroll in the world. Ignore the fascists: they hate that, lol.If you want intelligent, thoughtful contemplation of all facets of the Gaming industry, including the "pOliTiks in mUh Gayms", look no further. It's witty, humorous, and nuanced like you wish your parents were.

I haven't relied on a written 'Game review' for such a long time (just one person's opinion). In this age of audio-visual media, we can quickly establish whether we might actually enjoy a game ourselves by using Youtube / Twitch etc... I would argue that Games 'Journalism' is dead. Certainly in the case of Rock, Paper, Shotgun - who seem to publish articles that are just complete non-sensical gibberish, and most likely pandering to a minority of people who, ironically, aren't actually 'gamers'.
