Misleading descriptions and poor shipping.
Ordered a fig tree that was a 'Bush in a 3l pot' - what arrived was one sad stalk with 4 leaves on it and one inch-long side branch.
Similarly, I got bare-root plants for hedging. These took well over a week to arrive, by which point it might have already been too late to plant them. There was also no packaging for roots, not even a plastic bag wrapping, meaning that the roots were very dry when they arrived. Only time will tell if they'll establish.

Alex and Ian, two long-time plant buyers, set up Roots with the aim of bringing gardeners on a trip around some of their favourite nurseries. As much as possible we want a click on Roots to feel like a trip around a nursery. Almost as if you were there with the grower, covered in mud and beaming with pride as they show you their plants, answer all your questions and gives you advice you didn't even know you needed!
