DO NOT BUY A CAR HERETLDR- sold truck with bad engine and deducted false damages from my depositHere's my story I will try to keep it short. I purchased a 2022 Toyota Tacoma with 25k miles for $36k, which was the best deal I found online. During the process, I lost contact with my finance agent due to her losing power for a week. I tried to get another finance agent, but no one else would assist me. As I was about to give up, she got her power back, and I purchased my truck. I put 13k as a down payment, which is important. I received the truck and inspected the oil and found metal shavings on the end of the dipstick. I cleaned the dipstick and checked 4 more times. Each time I checked, there was a large amount of metal shavings. I took the truck to my local Toyota dealership and told them I can still return the truck if this is as bad as I think. After I paid for the inspection, the dealership informed me that I should return the truck.The dealership explained that due to the metal shavings in the oil and the lack of maintenance records, it would not be under factory warranty, and the engine would most likely need to be replaced soon. I returned the vehicle and waited for my 13k deposit back. At first I was told that the 13k would be wired back to my account, but then without being notified a check was left at my front door. Upon reviewing the refund check which was supposed to be for $13,000, I discovered it was short $665. I am still in the process of trying to get my $665 back. I called and asked why the check was missing money and they couldn't give me a reason. After a week of waiting, I was then told the truck had dog hair and a scratch on the speaker cover. My dog was never in the truck. I only drove the truck to the local dealership and back which was about 20 miles in total to avoid the 200 mile return policy. I have been trying to get my money back for almost a month now with them saying ''I sent them another email I will call you tomorrow'' and never getting a follow up. They never sent me an initial email saying there was a deduction in refund. Communication has been horrible and asking for a supervisor gets you nowhere. I recommend you go elsewhere if you are trying to buy a vehicle. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
