I purchased a car from Ruby Car on 5/28 with a promise that I would be contacted by the shipping agent to schedule delivery. After having received no further communication, I called on 6/17 and spoke with the shipping department. I was told there was an 'issue' and that I would be contacted by the financing agent to explain further. The financing agent contacted me to explain that the car was severely damaged in a hail storm on 6/1 and was declared a total loss. As I was not interested in any of the other inventory, I requested a refund for which I am still waiting. All this while, I have been paying interest on an auto loan with no car to show for it. The lack of communication and of prompt attention by Ruby Car has been shocking.7/1 update: I just made my first payment on the totaled car. After I was promised a refund on 6/18 (I was told to expect a 7 business day wait - I paid for the car within 48 hours after signing the contract), I was told on 6/27 that the team “dropped the ball” on the refund request and that a new refund would be issued after 2-3 business days. I am still waiting as of 7/1; my request for rapid resolution has been met with radio silence since that time. I hope that my complaint with the BBB will garner some interest on Ruby’s part in working toward resolution. If you value your money and time, don’t walk from ruby-car.com.. run!!
