****DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!****

****DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!**** We have had an extremely frustrating experience with this company so far and there is still no resolution. We contracted Safe Hand Relocation to move our belongings from Highland, CA to Knoxville, TN. During the initial quoting process we were asked to provide a detailed list of what was needing to be moved including all dimensions. I went through our home and measured out everything we were going to have the movers take and provided a very detailed list of all the items and specific measurements for each one. This came to an initial quote of about 1600 cubic feet. When the mover showed up they started telling us we had a lot of bulky things and that though they would not charge for the “Bulky Items Fee” they would be charging for the space. The Foreman came up with a number totaling 2500 cubic feet without ever measuring anything or even starting to load the truck. This was a significant increase in the total price but we were leaving our home by the end of the week and didn’t feel we had any options. I understand that things don’t always stack perfectly but the list of all the items showed exactly what we had and needed to move. The movers arrived on July 29th, 2025. We were told we would get a call a day prior to them arriving, but that did not happen. I received a call from a random number on the 29th at 6AM which I missed / ignored. No message was left letting me know it was the mover. I ended up messaging the dispatcher later that morning and was informed that they had tried to reach out. She was able to provide the number for the Foreman and I was able to contact them to coordinate the move that day. At the time, we did not have an estimated delivery date for our belongings as we were still in the process of selling our home and finding a new one in Tennessee. We were told that the first month of storage would be included in the price and any additional time needed would be an additional charge, which we agreed to. Once we were established in Tennessee we were able to provide an address for them to deliver our belongings. We provided Summer with our delivery address on August 15th, 2025. I did not get a response from Summer until August 21st asking if I was ready to start the delivery process, which I replied yes. By this point I had already received a message from their Foreman on August 17th asking if I was ready for delivery to which I replied yes and provided them with the delivery address. I was told on the 17th that our belongings would be loaded potentially by that coming Wednesday - Friday and out to us soon after. The Foreman stated they could provide more detail the following day. I did not hear back from the Foreman until August 21st, in which he said our items were scheduled to be loaded the following day and to allow 4 to 6 days for delivery. It is now Tuesday, September 2nd and we still have no idea if our belongings are loaded and on their way, or if they are still sitting in a warehouse in California and we can’t get any updates from anyone. The bulk of the communication with this company has been through text. You can almost never get someone on the phone. This is a major concern considering the company has our lives held hostage in a warehouse or a truck somewhere and we can get zero information from them. The only benefit to that is that I have all the documented conversations on my phone that are named, timestamped, and easily accessible. At this point we feel like we have paid them close to $7000 to steal our things. This company also claims to be Veteran owned, which I am not disputing and proud to support. However, noting about this company reflect well in that regard. I would expect honesty, integrity, transparency, communication, honor, service, accountability from a veteran owned company. This company has none of that. The level of stress and frustration this has caused my wife and me is unmeasurable and unreasonable. There may be other movers tied to this company that do well, but our experience with Summer and the Foreman in Southern California had been absolute garbage. If the owner of the company would like to reach out and help with a resolution I would be glad to update this review. Our BOL is 6294470. At this point, we just want our belongings back and to not have to deal with this company anymore. It has been two weeks since we have provided a delivery address. We will be filing complaints with the BBB and FMCSA.
