Booked parking at Stansted with this company through comparetheairportparking.com and really wished we hadn't!Firstly, when booking you are given the price for parking, but only when receiving the confirmation email you are told about then having to pay the airport levy on departure and arrival so instantly that's an extra £20 on the cost.When booking you provide the dates and time of arrival to drop the car off and the time you wish to get your car back on return along with providing flight details...this proved to be utterly pointless as again in the confirmation email you are then told that you need to ring a number when you are approximately 30 mins away. Having done this we arrived at the car park expecting to be met, however nobody was there. When calling to ask for an update with what was happening they then questioned whether we had called and that we would have to wait 15 minutes when nobody still had arrived we then chased them up and was told somebody would be with us shortly, it was the best part of 35 minutes for someone to appear. On return it is the same process, call when you are coming through passport control to give them 30 minutes to bring the car over. Having booked the time we wanted the car returned initially and calling as requested as we came through passport control was told the wait would be 30-40 minutes.After 40 minutes was up we called again and was told they are very busy and traffic is bad and that it would be another 25 minutes. After approximately 5 phone calls to find out what was going on the car eventually turned almost 2 hours after the time we initially booked. Where we were asked to wait at the car park there were several other groups of holiday makers who were in the same position and had been waiting over 2 hours.One of the drivers who had actually dropped a car off essentially told us that where the cars are parked is used by about 7 different companies which are more than likely to all be linked with comparetheairportparking.com. He also told us that they don't have enough drivers to deal with the bookings that they have and that all the excuses of bad traffic given from the guy on the end of the phone were lies and that they are just poorly run. All in all I would highly recommend not using this company if you want to actually get home at a sensible time and it is definitely not like the meet and greets I have used before.
