Usually my home delivery’s are great but recently the substitutions have been very poor, not in the item substituted but the amount. I ordered 24 cans of dog food and was sent 6 on 2 occaisions.
Today I had ordered 8 cans of hip hop apple and elderflower and was sent 4 cans of a more expensive variety. When I asked for a refund I was told the 4 cans were cheaper than the 8 I had ordered. Well done Einstein 4 cans are cheaper than 8. Had you sent the ordered 8 they would have been MORE expensive. Same with the dog food. So Sainsbury’s promise of refunding the difference if they send a substitute isn’t valid. They simply send less of a more expensive item.
