Review Time
The security guard at Debden Torrington lane made me feel very uncomfortable today by staring at me all the way through my shopping experience. Like he was obsessed with me. I don’t ask for this attention as a lone female this happens alot with Sainsburys security guards. Never happens in Waitrose or tescos. Getting to the stage where I might have to stop shopping at Sainsbury’s all together. I am utterly disgusted.
Some of the prices have gone up significantly over the past months
I've been subjected to 5 random scan checks at the self service checkout with 2, 4 or 5 items in my basket
A member of staff couldn't be bothered to assist me when an item [rollmops] had been reduced by Nectar prices . She took the price advertised, folded it so the reduced price was hidden & said someone at the checkout would sort the difference out. Then carried on talking to her mate in the aisle
The two items substituted in my order were perfectly fine, and the delivery driver was delightful, she was super chatty and joking the whole time, makes a world of difference without them even realising it.
Online Grocery order did not arrive, no contact received, no explanation received and no refund received.
I then had to chase them down the following day to receive a refund still without an explanation or an apology. No useful response to my complaint.
As I order for the week , more and more I'm getting food that is same day or next short life, today 28th February ,I've got meat use by 1st march, at £7 as pack I expect better, milk offen is out of date by Monday, some times its use by the day it's delayed, if I was in the store , it would be reduced, why is customers treated differently, it's getting worse
I have experience working in customer-focused environments where delivering excellent service and working efficiently as part of a team were key priorities. In my previous roles, I have developed strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a positive attitude when supporting customers.
I am confident assisting customers with queries, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining high standards on the shop floor. I understand the importance of keeping shelves well-stocked, ensuring products are correctly displayed, and following company procedures, especially regarding health and safety and food hygiene.
I work well both independently and as part of a team. During busy periods, I stay calm, organised, and focused to make sure customers are served quickly and leave with a positive experience. I am also reliable, punctual, and flexible with shifts, which I know is important in retail.
I am particularly interested in working for Sainsbury’s because of its strong reputation for quality, customer service, and community involvement. I would be proud to contribute to a team that values respect, teamwork, and putting customers first.
I think my local store(Marsh Mills) is looking scruffy with roof panels down and stores stuck in every possible space, the most regrettable thing to happen was the removal of the Cafe a social and great place, there are too many pickers in the store at any one time.
The staff however despite the managements worst efforts are brilliant and deserve better
Didn't like that it took me nearly 1 and a half hours to find everything on my list. Moving things around so much doesn't help at all.
Also, it would appear that at least a couple of the basic items are no longer stocked and one item I buy regularly seems to have been repackaged. Just hope the products the same.
PLASTIC LANDFILL SHAME ON YOU SAINSBURY'S,your Stamford Street peanut butter used to come in washable,recycliable glass jars,these new plastic containers are completely impossible tyo clean,so will just go in landfill for 1000 years! Dont you care about the environment?
I am disappointed with Sainsbury’s website because I am unable to leave a review for a product I recently bought. I wanted to warn other customers about the poor quality of the bacon I purchased, but for some unknown reason, the site does not allow me to submit my feedback. This lack of functionality is frustrating, as customer reviews are essential for sharing honest experiences and helping others make informed decisions. I hope Sainsbury’s addresses this issue promptly to improve transparency and customer engagement.
