Run by narcissists these days. I used to volunteer for them 30 odd years ago, how things have changed. A sadistic vile woman at my work place volunteers for them, most of the staff and clients leave in tears at the end of the day due to her bullying then she skips off to destroy many other lives manning the Samaritans in Aberystwyth although the calls aren't localized these days so anyone could get the sadist. Also I've read two horrible posts by Samaritan volunteers on Reddit. Talking about old people wasting their time by just wanting to talk. Absolutely disgusting, if you had an empathic brain in your head or just a brain you would know that many (not just elderly) people just want to talk so they don't kill themselves and many people would never say that they do out loud to anyone. judgemental fecks. Like I say some charities attract sadists, last time I was suicidal I contacted CALM, I just babbled absolute nonsense, the bloke was fantastic. It is for women too. Hug to anyone that's reading this and needs it xx
