As I recall, the story of "The Good Samaritan" is about a decent, empathetic individual who encounters a fellow human being in severe distress + need. Witnesses turn a blind eye, whereas said Samaritan provides appropriate + practical help.Today, as a last resort, I reached out to this organisation, in utter despair - after years of actively seeking help for numerous wide-ranging + soul-destroying problems (to no avail!).Actually, I spoke into a 'gaping (samaritan) void'!!! There was barely a minimum of interaction. The voice I heard very occasionally sounded downright disinterested + bored. After baring my soul (basically talking to myself) for 55 minutes, I felt so foolish about my monologue that I needed to end the misery I was inflicting on whoever was semi-listening (but not responding!).I'm exhausted + seriously humiliated by this encounter with "the non-existent kind". Suffice to say I now feel even worse + more hopeless.A MERE HINT of engagement, kindness and/or practical advice would have helped! Alas, SHAME is what I'm left with!
