We travelled all the way from London to buy a 2024 plate BMW i5 from Sandal Huddersfield BMW, dealing with a sales rep named Sam Gill. At first, Sam seemed convincing and professional — clearly eager to make the sale. He even sent us a video of the car, which conveniently showed no damages or faults. Based on this and his reassurances, we went ahead with the purchase.However, on the day of collection, things started to unravel. In person, we noticed a small stone chip on the bonnet — not very visible under showroom lighting — but Sam dismissed it, saying it would "rub out easily." We trusted him. Unfortunately, that was a mistake.On our long journey back to London, more issues became apparent. There were multiple stone chips on the windows and windscreen, and we later discovered a dent in the bonnet where the original chip was. None of this was disclosed beforehand, nor was it visible in the video Sam sent or in the showroom where the car was due to the lightings etc. Given that we live 5–6 hours away, returning the car to Huddersfield wasn’t practical.We called and emailed repeatedly, only to be met with rude and dismissive responses from Sam and his managers. Not only did they refuse to take any responsibility for these undisclosed issues, but they were also completely unwilling to offer any help or solutions. Their customer service post-sale has been shockingly poor.To make matters worse — and this is a critical warning — the car was sold to us with non-run-flat tyres, despite the fact that BMW i5s (especially 2024 models) require run-flats. These standard tyres are completely inappropriate for the vehicle and have already proven unreliable, making us question the safety of their practices. It feels like they cut corners to save money, at the customer’s expense.We are extremely disappointed with Sandal BMW Huddersfield. If you're considering buying a vehicle from them — especially from a distance — be warned. The experience has been frustrating, stressful, and expensive.Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Absolutely AVOID at all costs.
