I joined Scaler Academy back in 2021. It was a game changer for my career. I was scared of the Coding OAs, of DSA and Leetcode. The course actually made me 1% better everyday, 1% better at System Design.
I was getting DSA and System design lectures from instructors working in tech giants. I was able to bag an offer (300% CTC increase) as well thanks to the Scaler placement team.
Almost 3 years later, I came back to Scaler Academy, but this time as a remote instructor to give back to the community.

Excellent Learning Experience with Scaler
Scaler has been a game-changer in my learning journey. The curriculum is well-structured, up-to-date, and focused on real-world industry requirements. What truly stands out is the quality of instruction — the mentors explain complex concepts in a simple, practical way and are always supportive when doubts arise.
The live classes are engaging, and the problem-solving sessions help reinforce concepts effectively. I also appreciate the regular assessments, mock interviews, and career guidance, which make you feel genuinely prepared for technical interviews and professional growth.
Another big plus is the community — interacting with motivated peers and experienced instructors creates a very positive learning environment. The platform itself is smooth and easy to use, with recorded sessions, notes, and practice problems readily available.
Overall, Scaler offers a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience that builds both confidence and skills. I would highly recommend it to anyone serious about advancing their career in tech.
Scaler enabled me to enhance my professional skills after feeling stuck. The DSA course reignited my preparation for DSA and leetcode-style interviews. The course design and lectures were beneficial, and the instructors were quite supportive. However, the placement opportunities didn't fully meet the expectations set, though this can differ from one batch to another and among students.
Since I became a part of the program, I've gained in-depth knowledge of new technologies. The live classes help keep me focused, while additional features like projects, personal mentorship, contests, skill assessments, recorded sessions, and career support are impressive. They truly assist me in building confidence in Data, ML, and AI concepts.
I believe this course is more suited for individuals already involved in backend development or those looking to transition into backend or frontend roles. I enrolled to focus on the data engineering module but noticed that the workload and assignments for backend development were significantly higher compared to the data engineering content, and there seem to be fewer opportunities in that area.
I previously struggled with DSA, but the service made it an enjoyable challenge that I now look forward to improving in instead of shying away from. I highly recommend the DSA module as the instructors are genuinely dedicated to teaching, and the curriculum is thoughtfully designed and well-paced. However, the LLD and SQL modules could use some enhancement, as the instructors don’t seem to specialize in those areas. For example, as a frontend developer in a full stack specialization, I found my LLD instructor to be a backend engineer. A UI engineer might have been more suited for this role, as they would likely be more enthusiastic about teaching the subject and could provide insights beyond the curriculum.
The syllabus and curriculum for the development program are impressive, but the course content is delivered at a pace that can hinder learners from transitioning to new jobs quickly. When individuals are stuck in their current roles and looking to change swiftly, the lengthy wait can be frustrating, especially without support from management for upskilling or sabbaticals. I recommend a bootcamp fast track option to optimize and condense certain modules; for instance, combining LLD with a capstone project. Data Structures and Algorithms could be taught in one month, while High-Level Design could also be completed in a month, allowing us to prepare for interviews within three months. A year-long wait is excessive. The primary strength lies in the structured learning and curriculum. Additionally, we do not require TA support for assignments, as we can resolve our queries using AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini 3. Thus, the cost for TA support could be refunded, making upskilling more affordable for everyone. The program should prioritize students and ensure education is accessible to middle-class learners. Furthermore, limiting batch sizes to fewer than 50 students would allow for more personalized attention. It would also be beneficial for the program to consider competitors offering job placement guarantees, ensuring that students remain the top priority.

The mentors and instructors are both knowledgeable and encouraging. Currently, I am engaged in the DSA module, and I believe that staying consistent, managing time effectively, and practicing regularly can significantly enhance your problem-solving abilities. This development can ultimately have a positive effect on your career and financial opportunities.
