Displeasing Security Experience

The security staff were rather rude when I requested a pat-down instead of going through the radiation scanner. Despite my calm demeanor and responses in Dutch, she made a fuss about my request. I simply wanted to avoid the radiation machine, which she claimed was safe, comparing it to a phone. I believe everyone should steer clear of these radiation machines, as they can be harmful, regardless of what the security personnel might think.

Disrespectful Security Encounter

Highly Inefficient Airport Experience

Despite hundreds of travelers needing to pass through passport control, there were only two desks open, causing an hour-long wait just to get through. This delay was longer than my inter-European flight. It's simply unacceptable. If possible, avoid this airport.

Appalling Airport Conditions

The state of the airport is not just disappointing; it's shocking. Starting with the valet parking, they couldn't find my reservation, resulting in a one-hour hold-up. The staff were rude and seemed unqualified. The security check was even worse, with people of all ages waiting over an hour in line, with some missing their flights. I overheard staff telling an elderly man he should have arrived 'three hours earlier.' I could elaborate on today's experience, but I'll keep it brief.

Outrageous Prices

The prices here are nearly criminal. With no alternatives available, it's frustrating since outside drinks aren't allowed. Paying 5 euros for a cola feels like outright theft.

Declining Airport Conditions

The security staff are rude, prices at bars and eateries are often exorbitant, and there are fewer seating options available (I noticed that chairs I used on previous visits are missing). There are almost no working power outlets for charging devices, and cleanliness is lacking, with frequent flight delays. If it were just one or two issues, it might be manageable, but at this airport, nothing seems satisfactory. Once a great airport with excellent service, it's now in disarray.

Frustrating Passport Control Experience

I had another frustrating experience going through passport control at the airport. Management seems unaware of how to efficiently utilize the automated barriers, which were empty while there were only two staff members at the passport section. This is particularly concerning for families with children. The queue extended all the way back to security. I've traveled through this airport frequently, and it's consistently a mess. When will improvements be made?

Unpleasant Air Quality at Gate

While waiting for my flight at the gate for nearly three hours, I noticed a strong smell of burnt oil or something similar that irritated my eyes. It seems like the airplanes outside are running, and the windows are not properly sealed, forcing passengers to breathe contaminated air.

Room for Improvement at the Airport

This airport could become fantastic if they could resolve the chaos at passport control. While it's manageable for EU passport holders, the experience for everyone else is a complete disaster. This is a terrible first impression for visitors.
