Having Schuggie involved in our wedding was absolutely the BEST decision we made. For starters Schuggie is one of the genuinely nicest people we have ever met. From the start of chatting with him, he made us feel so at ease. Not only did he plan all of the music, sound system and wonderful ceilidh for the day, he was a fountain of knowledge for wedding planning in general. Our day wouldn’t have come together without him. The ceilidh was genuinely out of this world. Schuggie and the band put on an absolutely amazing event. The music was awesome. Schuggie made sure everyone was included all evening. If at any point someone didn’t have a partner, Schuggie made sure to find them someone to dance with. As bride and groom he made us feel so spoilt as well. Our entire evening all of our guests kept telling us it was the most fun wedding they’d ever been to. Strip the Willow was an INCREDIBLE way to end the ceilidh. By the end of the evening my face was aching from smiling, and my new husband turned to me and said “I hope this day never ends”. All of that joy was down to Schuggie and we will never be able to thank him enough! If you have any debate on who to call your ceilidh, it ends here. Schuggie was a joy to have at our event and I will shout this recommendation to the rooftops forever.

Ceilidhs (pronounced Kay-ley) are great for weddings and parties. It’s the perfect mix of laid back and encouraging. Dances come thick and fast so all abilities can have a great time.
Ceilidhs are very versatile; I can weave them into your overall theme or help you create one from the dances. Whether you want something undeniably Scottish, Bohemian Elegance, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory or even Steampunk… Don’t worry about the venue either- I’ve run ceilidhs in castles, wee village halls, marquees and back gardens.See more
