I use to really like the Schwarzkopf hair coloring brand, even though it was one of the more pricier ones because I figured that they used better products to make it. However, I went a long time without using it because I think it wasn't offered anymore at the store that I mostly shopped at. But this time when I did see it on the shelf and bought it it has left me with such a horrible experience that I will never, ever, purchase it again. When I got done coloring my hair it was so extremely dry that I couldn't even comb it. So I decided to use a moisturizing trick that I learned when I was going through cosmetology. I put a deep conditioner into my towel dried hair, then placed a plastic bag over my head, then wrapped it in a towel and let it set for a few hours so the warmth of my scalp along with the amount of time the conditioner was in my hair, would penetrate better and put more moisture back into my hair. It ONLY helped a little bit. My hair was still as dry as straw and combing it was still pulling at it even though I was using a metal pick with wide teeth. The only other time that I've experienced this kind of situation was when I bought a very cheap hair coloring product from the Dollar Tree. As a matter of fact, there's one brand of hair coloring that has left my hair softer and more manageable after coloring my hair with it. So now after regrettably using the Schwarzkopf brand, I have even more admiration and appreciation for the Garnier Nutrisse hair color cream. (Hope it's okay to mention another brand. I promise, as God is my witness, that it was not prompted by any one or anything, other than my own true experience with it.)
