I Love My Plum OTG women’s jacket--and SCOTTeVEST Customer Svc.--Especially Maggie! This is a nearly perfect jacket. In addition to being sharp and available in black and—my favorite—Plum, a beautiful yet understated “greyed” shade, the Women's OTG Jacket has every feature I could want—except a (detachable) hood. Although this jacket is cozy and warm even when the temps are in the teens (Fahrenheit) up to the 40’s or low 50’s, it’s feather-light when empty, and when the pockets are fully filled, the weight-management system keeps everything well balanced. For reference, I am 5’4” tall, weigh approx. 136 lb., and measuring loosely over my clothes, 41(C)-34-43. With the guidance of Scott-e Vest’s excellent customer service (especially the superb Maggie—thank you!), I ordered a Large. I am NOT a “lipstick, wallet, and cell phone” minimalist, so a jacket which will also serve as my handbag must have MANY strategically-placed pockets of significant size. Because I’m only 5’4,” the jacket just covers my bottom, so the length is perfect, I feel. On taller people, the length may fall a bit shorter. ADJUSTABLE sleeve length! A previous reviewer stated the sleeves were too long for her, so she returned the jacket. I discovered that each of the OTG sleeves ends in an odd but strong little elastic ring. To make the sleeves “shorter,” just slide the elastic rings up your arms inside the sleeves (as if you’re making cuffs INside), stopping when the sleeve length is right for you. Genius. The OTG Jacket description states there are 29 pockets. However, there are five (5) I subtract from that, because they are so tiny their use is limited or very specific: 2 “bud buckets,” for earbuds when not in use; 2 tiny coin-size pockets in larger hip-level pockets; & a little pocket for a memory card in the "camera" pocket. There’s also a remarkable and clever addition to both inner sections of the jacket. Those sections already have several pockets each, but each set of four is edged with loop (the smooth part) Velcro for the possible addition of “Molle pockets,” if you should choose to buy them yourself elsewhere (not available from SeV, but many choices elsewhere on the internet). Molle pockets serve many utilitarian purposes and appear to have been created originally for attachment to military fatigues. I’ve found plenty of uses for the existing pockets, so have not purchased Molle pockets elsewhere. Finally, to the left and right of the center zipper are two “Rapid Access” “pockets, each accessible via a long vertical zipper. This gives the wearer access to some of the smaller pockets but also to two huge spaces which run from chest to top of hip and easily accommodate iPads or any but the largest laptops.I LOVE my Plum-color OTG jacket so much, and the placement of the many pockets, I’ve suggested to Scott-e Vest they make a lightweight version of the jacket, without the quilting and suitable for wear in the Spring. It’s hot and steamy here right now, but I can’t WAIT for much cooler weather so I can wear my OTG jacket again!
