SCOTTeVEST products are a fantastic idea with some troubling but not catastrophic quality issues.I have owned two SCOTTeVEST products. I have had some quality problems with both. I'm still purchasing and wearing these vests, because I frankly can no longer live without the pockets: my life is so much more organized now, I have the things I need on my person when I need them, and I can't go back. The problems I've seen:My first vest was black, but quickly faded to a dingy, vaguely purplish blackish color that looked tacky. This was not due to washing: I washed it very carefully, following instructions, and only one or two times. The fading started before the washing. The first vest eventually started to wear (sizable rips, ratty, fraying edges) out and I bought another, blue this time, and with somewhat fewer pockets. This one seems much more colorfast. The problem I've had here is that several of the seams have started to come apart in the first few months. Given how much these vests cost, I would have expected them to look nice (hold color, not rip/fray) for longer than they do. As troubling as that is, I value the organization they give me so much that I'm still using them.
