I recently took on a south African Safari and its was great. I could carry all kinds gear: extra batteries, lens paper, toilet paper, purell, kleenex, pens, notepaper, cellphone battery charger and cable, etc. I could even fit my small Lumix SZ100 camera in one pocket, my Sony HDR-AX53 4K camcorder in the water bottle pocket, and still fit my Bushnell 8x42 binoculars in another pocket. I could carry 13 pounds in my vest that didn't effect my limited 13 pounds carry on luggage allowance for very small planes. The vest does great weight distribution, so it never felt heavy.
