I placed a large order (#22494106) for 105 oz of silver in January via bank wire (total $9,339.75), and the order was confirmed with locked pricing. After my payment cleared, SD Bullion cancelled the order without prior notice, citing an internal verification/fraud flag but not explaining why.
I was told by two different representatives — one in writing and one by phone — that the refund wire would be initiated immediately and that I would receive confirmation. I never received any written confirmation of the refund being sent, despite multiple follow-ups over more than a week and repeated international calls from the UK.
After escalating through multiple emails, phone calls, and finally filing a BBB complaint, the refund was finally issued. It was only after the BBB got involved that the funds were returned.
Issues I encountered:
Cancellation after payment with no clear reason
Lack of communication / no refund confirmation
Required international calls to get basic updates
Promises that were not honoured until third-party pressure
My refund was eventually processed, but the experience was stressful and poorly handled. I cannot recommend SD Bullion based on my experience.
