I always bought giftcards and never had any problems, until i bought a xbox gamepass card, put in the pin and then it showed that the card had yet to be activated.
I contacted support, filled out an form and later i get an email saying that the card had been redeemed in the system.
Update: I needed to wait 24 hours until it got into my account, but i don't understand to why they told me to contact the seller. Anyway they are a trusting website.
