I just had an absolutely horrible experience with Sears home service. Unfortunately it lasted almost 2 months. Apparently inappropriate diagnosis could not be made and they threw parts at it and it never resulted in having a working refrigerator. Twice I had to throw away freezer food, once refrigerator food. All because after every service call they assured me things were working. Until then of course they weren't. They continued to insist the refrigerator could be repaired. When I finally insisted on a second opinion that company suggested it be replaced not repaired. So I then found out the almost $1,800 that Sears had ordered in parts and labor had eaten up my benefit and I will receive $277 to go buy a new refrigerator. Mine still does not work. It is sitting here with all these new parts and it still cannot hold the temperature in the freezer. The worst service experience is when they kept notifying me that my service technician was running late and they kept pushing the time for their back until they told me he would be there at 6:30 p.m. I thought that was unusual but of course 6:30 came and went with no technician. Even worse, they didn't let me know they were never coming that day. And they never rescheduled me with a new appointment to take the place of the one that they completely blew off. I literally had to contact my home warranty and they set me up with a new appointment, unfortunately again with Sears home appliance.
