Review Time
Would have given a 5 but every time my home warranty co assigns Sears for repair the AI almost always cancels at least 1 time so it takes about a month to get the item repaired. Technician is always great otherwise.
Josh replaced a diverted valve and door gasket. Apparently the dishwasher had a small leak after replacing the diverted valve. He place a paper towel under it and told me to watch it for leaks. He then told me that it was my responsability to fix it if it still leaked since it wasbpart of the supply line. Josh was the initial repairman on the dishwasher on January 23rd. He disconnect the supply line at that time. He did not place anything down to keep from damaging my hardwood floor as the other repair did that proceed him. None of these people touched the supply line disconnect and were doing the same repair. They also placed protection on my floor. I believe it is Sears responsibility to fix this if my leak continues as you all (Josh)
disturbed the supply line originally. I only had a bad pump to start with but some other parts had to be replaced because to my understanding from listening to the other repairman Josh damaged them. They also did not have to remove the supply line to fix any of the problems.
Long long waits for service calls. And then after waiting for parts and another service call to install the parts the appliance isn’t fixed so you go thru the same ordeal all over again. They don’t give you any preference for dealing with a broken appliance that they didn’t fix the first 2 visits. They also tend to cancel your scheduled appointment the day of after spending half the day waiting for them. Appointments are no longer scheduled for morning or afternoon-instead they now make customers wait for 8 hrs and then they don’t show. But most irritating is that you can no longer talk to an any human person let it be for scheduling, problems or even just to protection warranty for claims. It’s all done by AI now without any human menu choices. My Next appliance will be bought at Home Depot who has the similar protection agreement that I have with Sears. I filed 2 complaints with the better business bureau on Sears so go elsewhere and nothing ever changes.
Update: I finally received the refund and a call FROM A REAL PERSON!!! Look what a review will do
I ordered a watch from sears because they are a trusted name. Was then informed it was a third party. The third party sent me a broken watch that was not the watch I ordered. It was half the price!!! This third party was supposed to give me a refund. It's been a month still no refund. Sears... who I can only reach a real person in a chat tells me I've been refunded. I have not and this other company is no longer answering me. Do not order from sears online they are no longer a trusted name. Just a has been store scamming ppl
I just had an absolutely horrible experience with Sears home service. Unfortunately it lasted almost 2 months. Apparently inappropriate diagnosis could not be made and they threw parts at it and it never resulted in having a working refrigerator. Twice I had to throw away freezer food, once refrigerator food. All because after every service call they assured me things were working. Until then of course they weren't. They continued to insist the refrigerator could be repaired. When I finally insisted on a second opinion that company suggested it be replaced not repaired. So I then found out the almost $1,800 that Sears had ordered in parts and labor had eaten up my benefit and I will receive $277 to go buy a new refrigerator. Mine still does not work. It is sitting here with all these new parts and it still cannot hold the temperature in the freezer. The worst service experience is when they kept notifying me that my service technician was running late and they kept pushing the time for their back until they told me he would be there at 6:30 p.m. I thought that was unusual but of course 6:30 came and went with no technician. Even worse, they didn't let me know they were never coming that day. And they never rescheduled me with a new appointment to take the place of the one that they completely blew off. I literally had to contact my home warranty and they set me up with a new appointment, unfortunately again with Sears home appliance.
Jeffrey knew very little about the appointment walking into my house. He saw the error code, knew that it means a high side leak in the sealed system. He immediately asked why he was there. I explained that Best Buy had the warranty and came out, saw the code and escalated it to their Asurian team run by sears. The technician again said. “I’m not best but, I’m not working on this”
He then went to his car as I called geek squad to get answers. Got him on the phone with a geek squad manager and he became irate. He hung up the phone turned to me and said “I can’t work on this. You’ll hear from someone in 3-4 days about what happens from here. He suggested I be ready to buy a new fridge.
My system is under warranty. It has a known issue “coolant failure” if really like to k is when my fridge will be fixed. It’s already been 1 week and three repairmen and just telling me it’s not their problem.
How is this OK?
Eric was once again, knowledgeable, courteous, and most of all professional. He is truly a pleasure to have on my property and even more so to speak to as he is completing his task. He’s never too busy to answer a question or to even provide a short anecdote, if it fits the situation. Eric is definitely the best you have to offer!
Jamel the technician was very professional Sears the company need to set a standard that the technician call if they want be able to meet appointment time I didn't get a call from Derrick and I waited all day for appointment and Derrick didn't call are show up that was very unprofessional.
DO NOT use Sears Home Service. 100% a scam. They will come and collect a diagnostic fee and then tell you they cannot fix the issue, they need to send a more advanced technician. Then you schedule another appointment and they keep rescheduling over and over. There is NO way to reach a human being. It is a waste of time and money. It's really sad that Sears, once a household trusted brand, has become the pit of despair. DO NOT CALL SEARS HOME SERVICES!!!!
