WARNING – My experience with SelfDrive Mobility in Bahrain.I have been renting a car from this company for around 7 months and always paid on time. Recently I was delayed only 5 days because the banks were closed due to the war situation.Without any warning, the company remotely disabled the car while I was outside on the road. The vehicle suddenly stopped working and I was left stranded. This happened while war sirens were going off, which made the situation even more stressful and unsafe.When I contacted them, I was simply told that nothing could be done.Because the car was disabled from their system, I had no way to move it and it ended up blocking someone’s garage. I informed them and sent video proof of the situation.Policies are understandable, but basic customer support and communication should come first. Disabling a vehicle remotely without warning and leaving a customer stranded is not how a professional company should treat its clients.A simple call, a warning, or even temporary support to move the car to a safe place would have been the responsible way to handle the situation.I’m sharing this so others are aware and so the company can hopefully improve how they treat their customers in situations like this.
