Service Stop is a scam. I paid £150 for an electric car service & MOT. They called me saying all is fine but recommend to change brake fluid and cabin filter, I asked how much it would cost-- £75+VAT. When I got the bill it was £584! I did not want to pay as it was WAY out of the agreed price, but they said I "misunderstood" them and were going to hold my car hostage until I pay the fee. Since I did not have the money, they made me sign up to a direct debit scheme just to get my car back.

Turns out they subcontract the services to other companies and charge you extreme prices. The people who actually did my service said everything they did cost £120. So they basically upcharged me 4 times what it should have cost-- which is absolutely INSANE.

Absolutely do not use them!
