I have been trying for years to transfer stock held in joint tenancy with my deceased husband. I have spoken to multiple people who keep referring me to the online portal, which has a username and password chosen by my deceased husband and not known to me. Or I receive incorrect information. Every time I speak to someone, I receive a different answer (often conflicting with earlier information) and then I run into a road block due to the information not being correct. With a recent change to electronic only access to account information, the situation has become even more problematic. Once I get this sorted out, I think the best thing to do would be to sell these shares.I am looking to rework my investments, but I will not purchase stock in any individual company that is managed by EQ Shareowner Services.
