I will be honest, I was underwhelmed when I first used my cordless vacuum and I thought I’d paid too much for it even in the sale. It takes a lot of cleaning to clean the actual hoover and it often gets clogged which is very annoying. After 3 years, the long tube snapped at the hinge which folds it down so feeling I’d paid for a brand name and not quality I took the loss and ordered another cordless from another website. Safe to say I shouldn’t have been underwhelmed because my shark picked SO much more out of the carpet than the other brand new one, I was clearly just a brat. Won’t be whinging while cleaning it out anymore!
New Hoover returned, I started looking on the Shark website for a replacement part for an item no longer sold and realised because I bought directly through the website and not a third party, I had a 5 year warranty. The part was approx £32 plus delivery, but I contacted customer service to see if there was anything I could do. This was quickly resolved with a few photos and they honoured the warranty and sent a replacement part, said it would be 3-5 working days and that was that. While I can’t vouch for the replacement part just yet, I will say that this was yesterday and I’ve had a text to say it’s arriving this evening. Extremely impressed with this so sought to write a review wherever I can.
I’d leave this review on the website for the vacuum but I can’t as they’re no longer sold. I have other Shark Ninja products and they are great, but I feel better knowing that they do actually honour their warranties should anything go wrong. So thank you Shark, I’ll continue to be a loyal customer from now on and recommend you to family and friends.
