Order never arrived, and support is unhelpful

I placed an order on 9 December. After two weeks without delivery, I inquired and was told it had been dispatched. They promised to send another, which also did not arrive. When I called, I learned they were waiting for more stock, despite the website stating the item was in stock. Now it's 31 December, and still no item. Today, I was told it was dispatched on 24 December with a 24-hour delivery service. Should I believe this?
