11 Quant Point Increase in 3 months!I studied on my own for 4 months before finding Sherpa. As an educator, I teach students how to prepare for exams, but remained stagnant in my own GRE preparation. After a 2 month class with Jay, my quant score rose 8 points. With an additional month of studying with Jay's guidance and using Sherpa materials, I was able to get an additional 3 points on my quant score.Jay was incredibly encouraging and candid throughout the process. I became incredibly self aware of my weaknesses and found ways to target them specifically in order to grow. I feel so much more confident in my school applications now knowing I am putting my best foot forward. It is unquestionably worth your time and resources to take a Sherpa course.
Studying for the GMAT is about outsized returns, most students want the best ROI for their time and money, and in my opinion, it's a tough road to becoming a top scorer by taking the same approach as most of our peers.Sherpa Prep has been a revelation in my test prep journey - the quality of the education, careful guidance from the instructors, and the ecosystem at Sherpa are simply unmatched compared to other popular choices in the market. Students will learn that by leveraging Sherpa's GMAT study plan, there's a way to reach their goal scores by mastering the subject matter technique and learning to work smarter instead of through sheer will and dogged determination (although that helps too). Overall, I couldn't recommend Sherpa Prep highly enough to students who are willing to put in the work and are seeking structure in their upcoming GMAT prep.
I started my experience with Sherpa in their virtual GRE prep course, led by Jay, and ended it with MBA admissions consulting with Nafeez. And I can say with confidence that I would NOT have gotten my spot at a top MBA program if not for them. I came to them with a low GRE score and minimal confidence about my ability to get into business school, period. The extreme care and thoughtfulness that they put into every aspect of their business was evident from the start, and I was blown away by the quality of instruction from Jay. He was honest, excellent at reading the room during classes, and explained how to master each question type on the GRE in a way that was easy to understand. He is also a super nice guy who genuinely cares about the success of his students, and will put in the extra time to make sure you're getting the most out of the class that you can.As for Nafeez, it was an absolute pleasure working with him from start to finish. He is extremely charismatic, an expert at what he does, and made himself 100% available to me, even when I asked him to review essay drafts with somewhat last minute notice. I came to Nafeez with no idea how to articulate my "why" for business school, and no clear sense of how to build a compelling narrative for admissions teams. He provided just the right amount of guidance to get my narrative where it needed to be, answered every last question I had, and helped me take my essays from "good" to "exceptional". And once again, he is such a joy to work with! One thing that I think really sets Sherpa apart is their commitment to doing the right thing by their students. They genuinely care about your success, do not charge as much as other similar services, and they are honest every step of the way about what help you actually need. They are interested in succeeding as teachers and making themselves accessible to everyone. I cannot recommend them enough, and will forever be grateful for their help!
I don't know how I would have studied for the GMAT without Sherpa Prep. The instructors are amazing and teach you strategies you never would have known. They are experienced, kind and keep it real. The resources and structure of the course were also integral for keeping a robust study plan. I'm excited to continue this journey with Sherpa (they give you access to your student dashboard for a year after your course) for GMAT prep and MBA admissions.

This company is not just a test prep company. It is like hiring a private tutor to teach you how to learn, and the GMAT just happens to be the subject. The way they combine elements of motivation and accountability (assigning accountability partners, weekly progress emails, and monthly check ins) with a holistic teaching method (homework, virtual group classes and office hours) is next level. Initially I signed up for Magoosh. I was an electrical engineer major at a top university and thought I could put the hours in on my own and be fine, as usual. Unfortunately, I was wrong. 4 months later, I had wasted vital MBA application time watching less effective methods and poorly created practice problems. Don't make my mistake.
