Not a luxury villa, shady hosts

Our experience was less than satisfactory, and the hosts displayed unethical business practices. We stayed in June 2025. The second half of my year was busy, so I’m just now writing this review, but I felt it necessary to inform others. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. 1. Air Conditioning / Mold: We had to rearrange sleeping arrangements due to a non-working AC unit. A technician claimed it was fixed, but it remained nonfunctional. Particles, likely mold, were coming from the vents onto our belongings. 2. Mold and Mildew: There was a strong, intolerable smell in the bathrooms, especially in the evenings. 3. Insects: Open windows upon arrival led to a bug issue. 4. Water Shut Off: We lost access to water one night, which would have been nice to know beforehand. 5. Security Deposit: We were charged a significant deposit, and upon return, we received less than expected, incurring fees due to the host's errors. 6. Broken Chair: A chair broke while I was sitting in it, which is dangerous. 7. Dishonesty: The host offered compensation but only after we agreed not to leave a negative review. We did not receive the luxury experience advertised. We were understanding throughout our stay, but it was clear the hosts operated poorly. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.
