As part of TJMaxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods, etc., they pay pennies on the dollar for their stock. It's offered at fair prices, but those prices have huge profit margins against what they paid for them. THEN to ship to you, the dimensional and weight-based shipping is ignored in favor of shipping with a further huge profit margin built in.I ordered a $13 dollar item the manufacturer says weights 3.8oz. and largest dimension is 4". Even including the weight of the box, this will be MAYBE 8oz at the outside. Their flat rate $10 shipping means that with their bulk logistical shipment discounts they'll pay MAYBE $4-$5 shipping. This is unethical and if I could have found the same product elsewhere I would have purchased it elsewhere. I will think 3x about further purchases online here, which is sad because I *love* the unique options at HomeGoods and hoped for a similar experience at Sierra.
