Very Disappointing Experience with Simply BusinessI am extremely disappointed with my experience with Simply Business. It has been nearly three years since a serious fire incident occurred at one of my projects, and my claim still has not been settled, despite meeting all the required conditions under my policy.Throughout this process, I strongly feel that attempts were made to manipulate figures in order to push my claim beyond policy limits and avoid payment. This has caused significant financial and emotional stress, not only for me but also for my family, employees, and collaborators who have all been affected by the situation.Despite the pressure and delays, I remained determined to pursue the matter fairly and professionally. Last month, I successfully won my case through the Ombudsman, confirming that my claim was valid. This outcome speaks for itself and demonstrates that persistence and clear evidence can overcome unfair handling of claims.One important point to understand is that Simply Business operates as a broker rather than the actual insurer. Customers should be aware that while premiums are paid to them, claims are handled through third parties, which in my case resulted in the appointment of loss adjusters whose assessments I believe were inaccurate and misleading.From my experience, Simply Business was far from simple when I needed support the most. Instead of resolving the matter fairly and efficiently, the process became unnecessarily complicated and prolonged.I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to carefully review their coverage, understand who the actual insurer is, and be fully prepared for how claims may be handled in difficult situations.I sincerely hope no other business owner has to go through the level of stress and uncertainty that my family and I have experienced.
