Sixt car rental scams

Pre booked with sixt for a car for 7 days. Picked up car from Salzburg airport as instructed. Half an hour into journey the oil warning light flashes and says oil level needs reducing. Turn wipers on and half the wiper rubber on driver side is hanging off so can only see half the screen. Chose not to go too far away from our apartment incase the car breaks down over Christmas so only used it for essential trips around Zell am see. Leave at 10am on day 7 to get the car back before the 12pm drop off time, get there in plenty of time, place keys in drop box and also mention to the man on the sixt desk that we have dropped them off and that the oil warning light was on and the wiper was broken, he sarcastically smiled and said Thankyou for letting us know, your deposit will be returned within a few days. Two days later we get an email in German saying there is a dent on the rear driver side door so we have to pay damages. We did not damage the car in any way, on looking at the list of previous damages on the car agreement email that was sent after we picked up the keys it states there was a 3cm dent on rear driver side door along with broken wiper and about 60 other previous ‘damages’ which clearly don’t get repaired otherwise the wiper would have been sorted which was dangerous as majorly restricted drivers view in bad weather. They are trying to make us pay for this so called ‘new’ dent that was already listed before we hired it. They also took 300 euro deposit and have sent a new invoice saying we owed another £154 and have taken it out of the deposit for ‘extra expenses’ that we were not made aware of on booking or when collecting the keys, they say it was in the small print of your voucher - so you only see this after you have already paid! plus charged us an extra day as they claim we dropped the car off at 1.34pm - seems odd as we were in a plane at that time! Do not ever use sixt car rental, they do not check the safety of the cars before you pick them up and what was supposed to be £500 car hire turned into nearly £1000 for 7 days. Disgusting rip off merchants will con you out of money any which way they can. We booked through carjet and sixt price was the cheapest but in the end turned out to be the most expensive of all so be warned and stay well clear. You only have to Google them to see how many people they do this too - don’t be their next victim.
