Booked a specific size car in Italy but were given something much bigger, presented as an “upgrade” because they claimed our original car wasn’t available. We later found out that wasn’t true, as our friends, who booked the same car, were given exactly what we had reserved.
During the trip, our tyre completely blew out and the car had to be collected from where it broke down. We had full coverage insurance, and the damage was entirely out of our control. Despite this, we were instantly charged €146 because the car was not returned with a full tank, which is unreasonable.
It was impossible for us to refill the tank given the situation, and €146 for fuel makes no sense in any case.
This is our second bad experience with this company. The process feels intentionally confusing, and it is extremely difficult to speak to a real person. The WhatsApp system is unhelpful, and the agents we managed to reach were unable to resolve anything.
Very frustrating experience overall.
