I had booked from India well in advance. At 6 AM when I went to take the car, Sixt did not accept my Indian Driving Licence saying it was not acceptable in Germany. This despite German Government Missions specifying that Indian Driving Licence is valid for 6 months. As a tourist I have driven in different countries with my Indian Licence and rented cars from companies like Hertz and Budget. Because of Sixt now all my plans have been spoilt and I have lost hundreds of Euros in hotel bookings.
