During my first van rental, I also paid to rent a sack barrow. When I collected the van, the sack barrow was not inside. I contacted the company about this and requested a refund. I was offered a partial refund (50% of the rental fee for the sack barrow), which I accepted, although I had expected a full refund since the item was not provided at pickup.
On my second rental, I was informed after returning the vehicle that there was damage to the van. I was not aware of causing any damage during my rental period. Unfortunately, I did not take photos or videos before or after the rental, so I had no documentation of the vehicle’s condition at pickup. As I had full insurance coverage, I paid the agreed excess of €150 according to the rental terms.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that customers carefully document the vehicle’s condition with photos and videos at both pickup and return, and allow enough time to inspect everything thoroughly.

Due to a breakdown of my own car, I rented a BYD Seal 6 from Sixt for three days – and I couldn’t be happier. Everything went smoothly from pick-up to return. The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring.
The car was perfectly suited to my situation: extremely safe, attentive, and reliable. This was especially important for my son, who is autistic. The vehicle alerted us to every small detail, which created a strong sense of safety and calm throughout the drive.
Honestly, I would have loved to keep the car and not return it at all. But that’s how it goes 😉 If I ever rent again, I will definitely ask specifically for the BYD.

They frequently push for upselling and often don't explain why they selected a different vehicle than the one reserved. In the end, they pressure you to leave a "positive review". It's quite disappointing. However, the vehicles are generally acceptable, and they don't scrutinize damages too closely. Somewhat reliable.
