During my first van rental, I also paid to rent a sack barrow. When I collected the van, the sack barrow was not inside. I contacted the company about this and requested a refund. I was offered a partial refund (50% of the rental fee for the sack barrow), which I accepted, although I had expected a full refund since the item was not provided at pickup.
On my second rental, I was informed after returning the vehicle that there was damage to the van. I was not aware of causing any damage during my rental period. Unfortunately, I did not take photos or videos before or after the rental, so I had no documentation of the vehicle’s condition at pickup. As I had full insurance coverage, I paid the agreed excess of €150 according to the rental terms.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that customers carefully document the vehicle’s condition with photos and videos at both pickup and return, and allow enough time to inspect everything thoroughly.
